Scorpion Update..................
First announced at Shot Show 2012 the CZ Scorpion EVO3 A1 is THE one we all want to know about from the ASG stable. So here's the latest intel...

Unfortunately the product launch is hampered by delays it will take up to 12 months to release the gun in Europe. Speaking to the ASG team at the Shot Show this is due to some set backs related to the machining and moulding of the gun, and costings, related to the fact that the gun is to be made in Europe. Something ASG should be applauded for in breaking the Far East manufacturing trend we usually see. The gun looks great though and should be worth the extra wait. It was pride of place front and centre on the ASG booth at the show.

Next Gen Proline
NEW ASG LMT M4/Armalite carbines..................
ASG has been working away to develop an affordable M4 carbine that looks and feels realistic and has a solid and decent weight, with total reliability. ASG state that they have worked with Lonex to develop the AEG’s with attention to detail and with realistic features and feel, to appeal to both Milsim and regular Airsoft players. They state that their priority is to have an AEG that answers the needs of players that appreciate the reliability and gives consistant accuracy. They call it their next generation Proline.

The AEG’s come in M4a1 platform, known as the Armalite M15A4 Carbine, and the LMT Defender R.I.S. Carbine. Both formats will come within 1J out of the box. Both AEG’s are fully trademarked and fully lazer engraved in a way where the markings would stand the test of time. Placing the AEG’s against real steel carbines illustrated that both AEG’s were indistinguishable from the real steel in look and colour. The weight of both AEG’s was what it should be, considering that they do not have a heavier grade steel or bolts systems. As a special point, both AEG’s come with Lonex magazines as standard!

M15A4 and R.I.S...................
With a full metal barrel and receiver, together with a 6 position collapsible stock and front grips made from heavy duty polymer. It features a removable top handle with integrated metal sights, mounted on a picatinny style top rail on the upper receiver allowing easy mounting of either scope or a dot-sight. The look and feel of the guns is similar to VFC. Not quite their quality, due to the CNC of the VFC.

Both guns have reinforced gearboxes designed to be compatible with ASG's range of Ultimate Upgrade parts of easy custom mods. Both have steel anti-reversal latches, alloy outer barrels, 6.04 mm inner barrels, new innovate designed piston head which has large conical shaped air inlets and flared outlets. This allows more air to flow through, reducing resistance and increasing rate of fire, whilst also providing optimal compression. The bushings are 8mm, steel and double bushings are used. The gearbox shell is enhanced, with reinforcement at all critical stress points. All plastic parts are made with reinforced glass fibre nylon for durability and strength.

On inspection, both this AEG and the R.I.S model have well thought out magwells, where the magazines fit tightly, and we think would fit many common magazines. Racking back the charging handle is a very pleasant experience, and the bolt release works perfectly each time, closing the bolt cover plate with a crisp metal bang.
